Local and network drives for Virtual Office CS and Software as a Service (Saas)
Some Virtual Office or SaaS applications can access your local or network drives. Here's an overview on both locations.
Go to the local drive
Virtual Office CS or SaaS map to the local (usually C:) drive of the workstation you are signed into.
C$ (\\Client) (V:)
is your local: drive in the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment.To go to your local drive, follow these steps:
- Select>Computerfrom any browser window.
- SelectC$ (\\Client) (V:)to access folders and files on your local C: drive.
- To get files and folders that are saved to your local desktop:
- SelectUsers.
- Select your Windows profile, then selectDesktop.
Internal use only
Internal staff will need to go to V:\Users\(windows profile)\OneDrive - Thomson Reuters Incorporated\Desktop to access the local desktop.
If a customer is having trouble accessing their local desktop, have them open File Explorer. They’ll need to go to their local desktop, then select in the white space in the address bar. The path will show and this is the location where they’ll need to browse from within VO/SaaS. Change the drive from
C:
to V:

Not all applications let you go to network drives.
To go to local network drives through windows in applications that are running in the Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS) environment, enter the UNC path.
