Migrate Planner CS data to Virtual Office or SaaS
Follow these steps to move Planner CS data from a local or network drive to Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Back up data from your local installation of Planner CS
- Create a folder on your local hard drive:
- Double-click theMy Computericon.
- Double-click theC:\ drive.
- SelectFile,New, thenFolder.
- Name the folderUTPbackups.
- Open your local installation of Planner CS.
- SelectFile, thenBackup.
- Use the tabs in theBackup/Check Outwindow to back up client plans, report sets, custom reports, watch window templates, report layouts, graphs, or letter templates as needed. In each tab, select the item you want to back up thenSelect, or useSelect All.
- SelectDonewhen you're finished selecting items to back up.
- In theBackup Towindow, go toC:\UTPbackupsand selectSave.
- Close the local installation of Planner CS.
- Restore data into the Virtual Office CS or SaaS installation of Planner CS
- SelectApplicationsin the NetStaff tab of the navigation pane.noteIfApplicationsisn't available, you don't have access to applications through Virtual Office CS or SaaS.
- In the Virtual Office CS screen, select thePlanner CSicon to open the application.
- In Planner CS, selectFile,Restore, thenFrom a Planner CS Backup.
- Go to theUTPbackupsfolder on your local C:\ drive and selectOpen.noteIn the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment,C$ on Client (V:)is your local C:\ drive.
- Use the tabs in theRestore/Check Inwindow to restore items. In each tab, select the item you want to restore, thenSelect, or useSelect All.
- SelectDonewhen you're finished selecting items to restore.
You're now ready to work in Planner CS in the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment.
