Use Jurisdictional Surveys

Use Jurisdictional Surveys to assess and compare laws on any topic across U.S. jurisdictions to help establish litigation strategies, understand jurisdictional differences in relation to compliance activities, identify new or emerging policy trends, and counsel clients on business decisions.
Jurisdictional Surveys include the United States Code Annotated (U.S.C.A.), all 50 United States, the District of Columbia, and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Access Jurisdictional Surveys

You can find the Jurisdictional Surveys tool in different ways:
  • On the
    Tools
     tab located on the home page.
  • In the Tools & Resources section on the
    Statutes & Court Rules
     page.
  • By selecting the Jurisdictional Surveys icon in the toolbar when viewing a statutory document.

Use Jurisdictional Surveys to:

  • Identify and analyze statutory variances and similarities across jurisdictions
  • Refine a legal argument based on how other jurisdictions have handled an issue
  • Identify emerging policy trends
  • Counsel clients on business decisions

Create reports

You can create reports in Jurisdictional Surveys to identify and analyze statutory differences and similarities.
You can save and download reports in the following formats:

  • Word Processor or Rich Text Format (RTF)
  • PDF
  • WordPerfect
  • Microsoft Excel (CSV)
