from Accountant’s Trial Balance (ATB) for Windows. However, you can export your ATB Windows data into a spreadsheet and then import the spreadsheet into Workpapers CS.
Do the following to export the data to a spreadsheet from ATB for Windows:
With the company opened in ATB for Windows, select
File / Export Data
.
In the
Export Data
window, select a Data Type. You can select the
All Account Information
.
Mark the File Type of
Comma Delimited
and select
OK
.
Enter a file name for the CSV file.
Choose a folder to save the CSV file.
Select
OK
.
In the
Select columns to export
window, select the appropriate Available Columns to export. Select the necessary information to import into
Workpapers CS
, such as the account number, description, and the balances. You could optionally choose to export the grouping schedule assignments as well.
Select
OK
to export.
Open Microsoft Excel and go to the CSV file that you exported from ATB for Windows.
Once the CSV file is opened, select
File
, then
Save As
and save it as an Excel file.
You're now ready to import into
Workpapers CS
.
Use the
Spreadsheet import - Chart of Accounts
to import the ATB for Windows Chart of Accounts data (account number, description, balance information, and account groupings).
