Fix dates displaying as 9999 on reports and letters
When previewing a statement or report in Report Designer, you may sometimes see 9999 displayed rather than the actual prior year date for a cross-period comparison.
That happens when the prior year hasn't been selected for the client during the setup process. To add a prior year for the client, do the following:
Select
Setup
, then
Clients
, and go to the Accounting Information tab.
Select the client, and then
Edit
.
Select
Edit Dates
.
Select
Add Prior Year
and then
OK
.
Preview the statement or report again and you'll see the actual year displayed instead of 9999.
Letters displaying 9999 instead of the year
If you're previewing a letter that is displaying the year incorrectly as 9999, date options haven't been selected for the letter. Use the following steps to apply date options to your letter.
With a letter open in the Report Designer, select
File
, then
Page Setup
.
In the Report tab, select either
Accounting
or
Standard
dates in the Date Options section.
Mark at least 1 of the checkboxes for the date options (for example,
Current Month
or
Current Period
).
Preview the letter again to make sure that the correct year is displayed.
If the letter is part of a report profile, remove the letter and re-add it to apply this change.
