Print reports
Do the following to print reports:
- SelectFilethenPrint Reports.
- In thePrint Reportsscreen, double-click any report or report profile to add them to the Selected Reports list and choose the print options for each report.note
- Select the Chart of Accounts - Detailed report from the Accounting folder to create a spreadsheet you can use to import a client's chart of accounts.
- SelectPrint Selectedto open the Print window.
- If you want page numbers to continue across all of the reports and profiles that you're printing, mark theContinue page numbering across reports/profilescheckbox and select a starting page number. Otherwise, page numbering will restart at1for each report.
- Mark the checkbox for each output you want to use for this report.
- Printer.Select the appropriate printer and then specify the number of copies to print, the page range, and whether to print duplex or single-sided pages.notePage range options are unavailable (grayed) when you access the Print window viaPrint Selected. However, you can select page range options when you choose to print documents from thePrint Previewscreen.
- When your firm is licensed for GoFileRoom and the GoFileRoom Client Add-In is installed, theGoFileRoomoption is available in the drop-down list for theOutput to printerfield. You'll need to choose a file format (*.pdf, *.rtf, *.txt, or *.xls) from the dropdown. When you print to GoFileRoom, the application opens thePrint to GoFileRoomwindow, where you can select the drawer and index information.
- When your firm is licensed forWorkpapers CSand the Workpapers CS print driver is installed, theWorkpapers CSoption is available in the dropdown for theOutput to printerfield. When you print toWorkpapers CS, the application opens theWorkpaper Propertieswindow, where you can select the client, binder name, and folder location, and enter a workpaper reference and workpaper name.
- FileCabinet CS.This option is available when your firm is licensed for FileCabinet CS and it's installed. When you print to FileCabinet CS, the application opens theFileCabinet CS Documentswindow, where you can select the FileCabinet CS location, document names, and other document options. When you mark theSend to NetClient CS Document Presentationcheckbox, the application automatically queues documents within FileCabinet CS to send to your client's Document Presentation portal in NetClient CS.
- Onvio Documents.This option is available when your firm is licensed for Onvio Documents. You'll need to also choose a file format (*.pdf, *.rtf, *.txt, or *.xls) from the dropdown. When you choose this option, you'll need to sign into Onvio Documents, where you can selectOKto send the item to the Documents area for the selected client.
- File.Select the file type and specify the location in which to save the reports. For Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) files, you can password protect the documents, if desired. When you mark theOpen file when completecheckbox, the application automatically opens the documents in the default application based on the selected file type.
- SelectOKto print the reports to the selected outputs.note
- To preview or print a report, you'll need to have the appropriate security group permissions to access the specific reports listed in the profile.
- To print reports for multiple clients, selectis in the list,is in the ID range, oris in the name rangein theClientdropdown in the Client section. When usingis in the list, select
to open the Multiple Selectionwindow. Select the appropriate clients from the list then selectOKto print report data for those selected clients only. - To save report options currently specified for all of the selected reports that are not within a report profile, selectSave Report Options.
- To change the order in which the reports are printed, select a report or report profile and drag it to the desired location in the list.
- To preview the selected reports and report profiles before printing, selectPreview Selected.
- You can set additional report printing options in theUser Preferenceswindow, such as printing report profiles as a single document or a set of individual documents.
