The tax codes might not show or they'll be blank when you do 1 or more of the following:
Go to the
Tax Codes
screen for a client.
Review a Tax code column at
Actions
then
Enter Trial Balance
.
Print the Tax Code Grouping Report.
You can do the following to resolve this issue:
Verify the application version
Select
Help
then
About
and note the number in the Version column in the grid. Compare this version number to the latest program version available.
Change your posting period
Select
Actions
then
Change Posting Period
and select a period in the prior year.
Select
Actions
then
Change Posting Period
again and change the posting period back to the current year.
Select
Setup
then
Tax Codes
and verify the tax codes display.
Add prior years for the client
Do the following if you can't change the posting period to the prior year:
Select
Setup
,
Clients
, then the
Accounting Information
tab.
Select
Edit Dates
then
Add Prior Year
.
Select
Enter
to save your changes.
Select
Actions
then
Change Posting Period
and select a period in the prior year.
Select
Actions
then
Change Posting Period
again and change the posting period back to the current year.
Select
Setup
then
Tax Codes
and verify the tax codes display.
Toggle the entity type
Select
Setup
,
Clients
, then the
Accounting Information
tab.
Change the Entity type to a different selection.
Select
Enter
to save your changes.
Select
Edit
to modify the client and change the entity type back to the original selection.
Select
Setup
then
Tax Codes
and verify the tax codes display.

Tax code years are available for 2009 and later. Tax code assignments can be made in your CS Professional Suite® software to associate the balances from specific general ledger accounts for tax reporting, as follows:
Account balances from:
Transfer to:
Accounting CS™ (v.2010.1.0 or later)

GoSystem® Tax RS
Lacerte®
