The Thomson Reuters Extel Survey on UK Small & Mid-Caps provides rankings of stockbrokers across sales, trading and research for 17 industry sectors. Numis Securities was voted the leading brokerage firm for UK Small & Mid-Caps for the first time in four years, in an extremely close-run race with Peel Hunt, placed second; and Investec Securities, who ranked third overall.

Voting for the UK Small & Mid-Caps survey was conducted primarily online and ran from 26 March to 3 May 2013.
