NEW YORK - The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has acquired the continuing professional education and CPA test preparation division of Bisk Education, Inc., one of the largest providers of online education from America’s leading universities.

Bisk Continuing Professional Education and Test Prep’s primary offerings include CPEasy, a comprehensive set of CPE courses and subscription packages that enable CPAs to maintain licensure, and CPA Review, which covers the four areas tested in the CPA exam.

The acquisition of Bisk Continuing Professional Education and Test Prep will expand and complement the current Thomson Reuters Checkpoint Learning solution with the addition of more than 300 online CPE courses and more than 100 webinars. The combined product line advances Thomson Reuters strategy to provide customers the most comprehensive set of learning solutions available in the tax and accounting marketplace.

Checkpoint Learning provides CPE compliance tracking, learning management, and curriculum development. Customers can purchase and complete courses individually or as part of a subscription package. Hundreds of online and downloadable courses are available on topics such as accounting, auditing, tax, ethics, management, YellowBook, and specific staff training.
