Thomson Reuters Launches PeopleMap on WestlawNext

EAGAN, Minn. – Thomson Reuters today announced the launch of PeopleMap on WestlawNext®, bringing the premier public records tool to the market’s leading online legal research service.

PeopleMap enables legal researchers to search billions of legal documents and public records, U.S. and international media, and more, to discover relationships between people, assets and businesses. Enhanced navigation tools and an intuitive graphical display offer improved research capabilities, highly targeted results and the ability to generate visually-enhanced, customized reports.

PeopleMap on WestlawNext will be available in early February in conjunction with New York LegalTech.

“For today’s legal investigators, an efficient research tool that enables you to find the information you are looking for quickly and intuitively can save time, resources, and even someone’s life; that’s PeopleMap on WestlawNext,” said Steve Rubley, managing director, Government segment and Fraud Prevention & Investigations at Thomson Reuters. “PeopleMap delivers on our commitment to offer unrivaled legal solutions that integrate unparalleled content, expertise and technology to the marketplace.”

PeopleMap on WestlawNext also offers seamless integration with Firm Central™, providing superior workflow capabilities and enhanced matter management advantages for law firms and corporate and government legal departments, respectively.

“From witness location to skip tracing and fraud investigations, to due diligence and beyond, PeopleMap expands the capabilities for legal professionals. And with its integration into WestlawNext, search results are displayed within the user’s workflow, improving and streamlining the investigation process,” added Rubley.

Expanded PeopleMap features include search capabilities of web analytics, advanced graphical relationships connecting people and businesses, historical address information, and more.
