Thomson Reuters Wins Multiple Awards for Data Provision and Services

Awards recognise excellence in data provision to financial, energy and commodities markets

LONDON – The depth, breadth and quality of the data provided by Thomson Reuters to financial and energy markets worldwide has been recognised in multiple recent industry awards, highlighting the leading position the company has in providing customers with trusted news, information and trading services.

Thomson Reuters won three categories at the Inside Market Data and Inside Reference Data Awards, including Best Foreign Exchange Data Provider and Best Low Latency Data/Technology Vendor, both of which it has won for the eighth consecutive year. These two awards reflect the company’s commitment to the foreign exchange markets, which it has served for over 30 years, and the continued success of its real-time data technology in responding to the needs of a constantly evolving industry.

Similarly, Thomson Reuters win for Best Counterparty Data Provider is recognition of the breadth and depth of the pricing and reference data it offers around fixed income, securities, derivatives and loans. It is the second time it has been awarded this title.

In addition to these awards, Thomson Reuters has been recognised for the strength of its data provision to the energy and commodities markets. Energy Risk has named the company its inaugural Data Provider of the Year owing to its ability to supply customers not only with detailed real-time and historical news, information and analytics, but also price forecasts based on supply and demand fundamentals. This is the second time this year that Thomson Reuters has been recognised by Energy Risk for its innovation and depth of content.

“The ability to receive, analyse and act on data from multiple sources is crucial to all companies today, but particularly to those operating in the financial, energy and commodities markets,” said Debra Walton, chief content officer, Financial & Risk, Thomson Reuters. “These awards reflect our ongoing commitment to helping our customers spot the signals they need to make the right business decisions.”

Thomson Reuters strength in global data provision has also been recognised in numerous other awards this year, including being named Best Data Provider to the Sell Side by Sell-Side Technology magazine, and Trading & Reference Data Provider of the Year by The Asian Banker.
