NEW YORK – Today Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider, announced the release of Reuters TV for Web (http://www.reuters.tv), extending the video news service’s reach to anyone with a browser. Following the successful launch of Reuters TV for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, the new service offers a unique way for users to stay informed on their terms.

The new site offers a full-screen, immersive news experience, including an intuitive, responsive interface and custom-streaming framework that is optimized for each user’s data connection. For advertisers, it delivers a beautiful platform for brand storytelling and deep content integration.

Isaac Showman, Managing Director of Reuters TV said, “We set out to create news for the Netflix age, and our ambition has always been to rethink the way video news is presented online. I’m tremendously proud of the work our team has done to build such a remarkable format for web video and look forward to working with advertisers to take advantage of this fantastic canvas.”

Reuters TV is aimed at a growing segment of informed, mobile, and globally engaged consumers who value authentic video storytelling, but are too busy to watch traditional TV news at a fixed time and length.

Editorial content from Reuters TV is produced exclusively for the service and draws upon Reuters extraordinary reach of 2,500 journalists in over 160 countries. In order to deliver the service’s variable program lengths, all content is produced in multiple versions and organized by editorial teams in London, Hong Kong, New York and Washington DC, providing 24/7 coverage for viewers.
