Thomson Reuters to Offer Financial Community Exclusive, Live U.S. Election Day News and Commentary

Global Markets Forum, available to Eikon Messenger users, will provide ongoing news and commentary from senior Reuters editors and reporters

NEW YORK Thomson Reuters will host live news and commentary on the U.S. elections for Eikon Messenger users via its Global Markets Forum (GMF) as events unfold, offering the market direct access to senior Reuters editors and reporters.

The Global Markets Forum is an innovative, cross-asset and cross-regional community, connecting senior global financial market professionals with Reuters news and guest commentary.  Election commentary will begin in GMF just before the first U.S. polling stations open on November 8 and will continue throughout the evening and following morning as results are announced. News and analysis will cover the presidential election as well as U.S. House, Senate and other races, and will feature Reuters editors, political, economic and financial reporters, including reports from battleground states and the candidates’ election headquarters. GMF participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and post their own comments.

“The Global Markets Forum offers financial professionals a platform to transfer ideas and gain access to the insight and expertise of colleagues in Reuters news through Eikon Messenger’s open network,” said Lesli Fairchild, head of collaboration services, Thomson Reuters.  “Together with other Reuters forums hosted through Eikon Messenger, we are providing financial professionals with an exclusive venue to become better informed on topical issues while interacting and networking with peers.”
