Thomson Reuters Releases ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Certificate Manager 2.1

NEW YORK Thomson Reuters announced today the release of Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Certificate Manager 2.1, which optimizes the tax certificate management process for customers by creating additional efficiencies including faster data retrieval for reports and a streamlined process for dropship certificates. The solution, available for deployment on-premise or in the cloud, manages the precise tracking, validating, and governing of tax exemption certificates.

“Because customer exemptions are a frequent target of sales tax audits, managing tax exemption certificates accurately is vital to avoiding penalties,” said Chris Carlstead, managing director, Indirect and Property Tax, for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters. “ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Certificate Manager 2.1 improves efficiency in all aspects of the exemption certificate process by reducing operating costs, mitigating risk and increasing accuracy.”

Key new features of the solution include:

  • Support of dropship certificates which allows users to define and customize the supported dropship states to meet their specified needs.
  • Increased reporting efficiency as a result of faster data retrieval for reports. The enhancement will provide customers with better performance and more accurate reporting results.
  • Determination integration ensures that read zones and authorities content is always current and aligned, eliminating the need for monthly administrative maintenance by customers.
  • Additional platform support capabilities enable the solution to stay current with market-leading platforms, which now include Tomcat 8, Java 8, Linux 7.1 and JBOSS 6.4.
