Thomson Reuters and Law Made announce innovation series

TORONTO  Thomson Reuters and Law Made are pleased to announce a strategic relationship to accelerate the advancement of innovation in legal technology in Canada.

Law Made and Thomson Reuters will jointly develop and host a series of exclusive cross-Canada thought leadership events bringing together legal tech startups and lawyers and other legal professionals in firms, corporations and government. These events will provide deep insight into the true state of legal innovation, enabling participants to identify approaches and solutions that advance their organizations.

“It’s often said that the legal industry is going through a period of disruptive change,” said Neil Sternthal, managing director of Thomson Reuters Legal business in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. “It can be hard to determine what’s signal, and what’s noise. This innovative event series that we are creating with Law Made will help professionals identify and seize the real opportunities that exist, right now, in the legal technology space.”

“As the conduit between Corporate and Law Firm environments and the startup ecosystem, Law Made strives to ensure the Makers become part of the value chain in legal services,” said Jason Moyse, Principal at Law Made. “We are proud to carry forward our longstanding relationship with Thomson Reuters to promote the interaction of startup to enterprise. Our history together has already resulted in meaningful joint initiatives and there is plenty more to come.”
