Thomson Reuters Launches Accounting CS Bank Feeds Enabling Secure Connections to Clients’ Financial Accounts
NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2018 – Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of trusted answers for businesses and professionals, has announced powerful new functionality in its Accounting CS professional accounting software that provides accounting firms with a secure connection directly to their clients’ financial accounts.
Accounting CS Bank Feeds enables accountants to directly import clients’ checking, savings and credit card accounts into the Accounting CS platform, providing real-time access to important transactional data.
The new feature provides a number of benefits to firms and their clients, including automated data entry that saves time by eliminating the need for manual data collection; improved accuracy with direct data transfer; and a seamless reconciliation process that automatically clears matched transactions.
“We anticipate Bank Feeds will be a highly impactful feature that will both significantly streamline how firms interact with their clients and free up time for accountants to pursue more strategic and higher-value services, thereby assuming a greater advisory role for their clients,” said Louie Calvin, senior product manager, accounting & payroll with the Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting business.
Accounting CS Bank Feeds incorporates robust security protocols and built-in utilities that prioritize data privacy and confidentiality, and require the client to first sign an authorization agreement within the platform.
The new feature is available to all users of Accounting CS and Accounting CS Payroll and is free for clients who currently use Accounting CS Client Access.
Accounting CS is part of the Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite of comprehensive integrated technology tools that provide accounting professionals with everything they need to power smoother workflows, make more informed decisions, elevate client service and improve overall firm performance.
