Thomson Reuters Receives SAP® Ariba® and SAP Fieldglass® APEX Award for Global Application Extension Partner of the Year 2019

DALLAS, Texas, April 7, 2020 — SAP has awarded Thomson Reuters the APEX Award for Global Application Extension Partner of the Year 2019. This new award recognizes the contribution of SAP application extension partners for its SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass solutions, acknowledging their innovative approach and the success of their joint marketing efforts.

“Thomson Reuters has a long history of working with SAP to help simplify the lives of our corporate customers,” said Chris Carlstead, head of Partnerships and Alliances for Thomson Reuters Corporates Segment. “By bringing together SAP Ariba solutions and our ONESOURCE Determination engine, our customers can be confident that the automated global tax calculations they receive are accurate and error free.”

Thomson Reuters was one of the first SAP partners to leverage the API platform for SAP Ariba solutions by developing an integration to make procurement transactions more seamless. The application extension developed by Thomson Reuters enables customers using SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing to interface with ONESOURCE and access dynamic, reliable, global tax content in real-time for transactions on Ariba Network, adding value by improving efficiency and reducing risks from miscalculated taxes.

Thomson Reuters was one of the first technology companies to co-innovate an integration between SAP Ariba and a tax engine, bringing the global, automated and near real-time indirect tax determination of ONESOURCE Determination to SAP Ariba solutions.

“To maintain a vibrant ecosystem around the intelligent enterprise, SAP focuses on our partners and their ability to provide greater value to our customers,” said Sean Thompson, executive vice president, Network & Ecosystem, SAP Procurement Solutions. “We look forward to continuing to work with Thomson Reuters to provide the trusted solutions our customers need to be successful.”

Last year, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Determination engine was certified for SAP S/4HANA® Cloud, enabling real-time, end-to-end tax integrations for determination, calculation and validation of U.S. Sales and Use taxes. The Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Determination for SAP S/4HANA Cloud application can be purchased on SAP App Center, the digital marketplace for SAP partner solutions.

In addition, Thomson Reuters was awarded the 2019 SAP Pinnacle Award for Global Partner of the Year in the Integration category.
