Thomson Reuters Announces Award Winners for Best in Tax and Accounting at Annual Conference

WASHINGTON DC, November 14, 2022 – Thomson Reuters announced the winners of their annual Luca Awards, honoring the best in tax and accounting for 2022. The awards were presented at Thomson Reuters 42nd Annual SYNERGY user conference in Washington, DC.

The award winners were selected from submissions received by an internal team of professionals at Thomson Reuters. The Luca Pacioli Accounting Awards are named in honor of Luca Pacioli – known as the “father of accounting.”

Nominations were accepted for the following categories: Rookie of the Year, Trailblazer, Impact, Peer Support and Firm of the Year. The winners are:

Rookie of the Year – Boulder Valley CPA’s

With advisory at the forefront of client engagements and $50k worth of proposals to his clients in less than a year, Boulder Valley CPAs realized the value of Practice Forward. Since the first consulting call less than a year ago, Boulder Valley CPAs brought in $170k of NEW revenue. Even more, the firm gives back to other practitioners through being part of the Thomson Reuters 2022 Partner Summit events.

Trailblazer Award – Shana Robinson of ESP Financial

Whether working with the local chamber, offering presentations and even partnering with an interpreter to translate for maximum reach, Angel Hodges is elevating her community through her knowledge and commitment to helping others.

Peer Support Award – Mark Oostra from Kroese & Kroese, PC

Mark Oostra is a top contributor in the Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting Community. He is always helpful and very active in supporting his fellow colleagues on answering questions, posting interesting topics and providing insight for how he addresses accounting profession questions. Mark builds rapport, camaraderie and represents the true essence of community culture.

Firm of the Year – Accountability Services
