Thomson Reuters signs new customer Magone and Company for Checkpoint Edge with CoCounsel
Checkpoint Edge with CoCounsel streamlines tax research with professional grade Gen AI
TORONTO, December 17, 2024 – Thomson Reuters (TSX/NYSE: TRI), a global content and technology company, today announced that it has signed Magone and Company as a new customer of Checkpoint Edge with CoCounsel. This collaboration will see Magone and Company reduce research time, improve the quality and consistency of client communications, and enhance staff engagement.
Nick Magone, Managing Partner at Magone and Company, cited improved efficiency and staff engagement as key factors in their decision to adopt Checkpoint Edge with CoCounsel. “The integration of AI into our tax research process has significantly improved our productivity and the quality of our client correspondence,” he said. “We’re seeing better engagement from our staff, especially younger professionals who had been using ChatGPT.”

Since its debut, the solution has been expanded to include State Tax coverage. It’s also been enhanced with AI conversational features, and copy, print and export capabilities. Additionally, new topic pages offer users a one-stop shop for various federal and state tax topics, with content curated by Thomson Reuters expert editors.
