Switch from BgLink to E-banking

Benefits of switching to E-banking using Pagero Online

The ISO 20022 format is implemented as a new payment format and infrastructure. With the transition to ISO 20022, the local formats won’t be used, and ISO 20022 will replace them. Send ISO 20022 files directly to the bank, not through Bankgirot, as previously done.
BgLink processes traditional local formats such as LB, KI, and BgMax and communicates only with Bankgirot. Pagero now offers E-banking using our cloud-based platform, Pagero Online.
  • E-banking makes you ISO 20022-compliant by converting older formats like LB and KI into ISO 20022 according to your bank's specifications.
  • The service converts ISO 20022 files received from the bank back into LB-åter, BgMax.
  • The service includes bank connections, providing everything needed to prepare for the new infrastructure.

Transition process

Maintain a dialogue with both your bank and Pagero during the transition.
  1. Inform the bank that you want to begin sending and receiving ISO 20022 files through Pagero Online using E-banking.
  2. The bank updates your business agreement, adding a new format and communication method between Bankgirot and the bank.
  3. Discuss with Pagero to choose the service based on your preferred method of sending and receiving files using Pagero Online, whether upload and download manually, or automated file transfer.
  4. Pagero creates an account for your company and assists in configuring the account and starting the service.

Timeline

The exact duration varies as the bank, Pagero, and you have different roles. Historically, transitions take 2 to 5 working days, with about an hour of your time for configuration and learning. The bank's processing time for updating agreements and setting up in Pagero Online ranges from 2 to 5 days.

Banks handle transitions differently, so maintain a dialogue with the bank and notify them of your switch from BgLink to E-banking via Pagero Online. The bank will guide you on the necessary actions.
