Upload and process data

Process data from an uploaded file

Follow the steps to process the data from files uploaded from a local machine or a ONESOURCE application.
After uploading data to the
All Uploads
 tab, checking the details of the uploaded data, and choosing processing options, you're ready to start processing.
  1. Select
    Data
     from the menu bar.
  2. Select the
    All Uploads
     tab.
  3. Find the uploaded file you want to process in the grid, then select
    Process
     icon from the Actions column to open the
    Processing Instructions
     window.
    note
    • Process
       is only available for files that have an
      Upload Status
       of
      Completed
       or
      Uploading
      .
    • Alternatively, select the link in the Name column to view more details about the file, processing options, and a preview of the data. You can also select
      Process
       from this window.
    .
  4. In the
    Processing Instructions
     window, depending on the file type, do 1 of the following:
    • For a
      Delimited
       type file, choose a
      Delimiter
       from the dropdown list.
    • For an Excel type file, you can choose a
      Worksheet
       or
      Named Range
      , and add a range of cells that you want to process using
      Range (Cells)
      .
  5. Choose a Schematic:
    • Make a selection from the
      Schematic
       dropdown list.
      note
      The list of the Schematics is based on the type of file being procesed. For a
      Delimited
       file, delimited Schematics will show and for 
      Excel
       type file, Excel Schematics will show.
    • Select
      Advanced Search
       to look up Schematics based on the
      Schematic Name
      ,
      User ID
      ,
      Uploaded Columns
      , and
      Schematic Creation Date
      .
  6. Select
    Process
    .
After processing your file, go to the
Processed
 tab to view the processed data.
