Certificate Manager customer

Customer records play a key role because each certificate is tied to a customer. Certificates can't exist without customers.

Customer components

Customer records have these components:
  • Customer name:
    All records require a customer name. You can change the name after you create a record, if needed.
  • Customer number and company:
    A customer number's tied to a single Determination company and both are required when you create a customer. You can't change the customer number or company after you create a customer record.
  • Address:
    Customer addresses are optional.
  • Customer custom properties:
    If you create custom fields for customers, they're available when you create or edit customers.
  • Note:
    You can insert 1 or more notes to give users additional information about customers.
  • Contact:
    Primary and secondary contacts are optional. If you want to add a contact record to a customer, first name, last name, and email address are required.
  • Contact custom properties:
    If you create custom fields for contacts, they're available when you create or edit contacts.
