Unified logging overview

A feature that lets you review your logs within Determination without having to go to a rarely used system, sign in, and review the logs in isolation. Unified Logging helps with performance by returning smaller response payloads to the source system while keeping the rest of the payload messaging in Unified Logging that you can access as needed.
A simplified explanation is that the source system sends its request to an integration system which translates the request into a format that Determination understands. It then goes into several ONESOURCE sub-systems to perform the tax calculations and the rest of the request. As the messages are generated, the messaging payloads are sent to Unified Logging. Unified Logging stores the essential and non-essential messages and returns only the results and the essential messages back through the various systems to the source.

Log retention policy

Each tenant has a unified logging retention for 30 days or up to the limit of 100GBs. Logs older than 30 days are automatically deleted. If logs exceed the 100GB limit, they’ll be automatically deleted (even before the 30-day time-limit) to keep them under the storage limit.
