Activate Live Sync for your firm

Live Sync automatically synchronizes information from SPbinder into the tax application in real time. Firms have the option to enable Live Sync for all binders (that is, firm-level option) or give firm users the option to enable or turn off Live Sync as needed on a binder-by-binder basis (that is, binder-level option).

Enable or turn off Live Sync feature

To enable or turn off Live Sync for your firm or change the default settings, go to

To enable Live Sync for your firm, select the
Enable Live Sync
checkbox.
To turn off Live Sync for your firm, clear the
Enable Live Sync
checkbox.
Next, select one of the following options to specify how Live Sync should be enabled:

For selected binders
(binder-level decision)
By default, Live Sync is turned off for all new binders.
A user with access to the binder can enable or turn off Live Sync.
2.
For all binders
(firm-level decision)
Live Sync is enabled for all new (eligible) binders.
Live Sync can't be turned off for individual binders.
Switching Live Sync options
The option you select will only apply to new binders going forward. If your firm changes the Live Sync option, then all existing binders will remain in their current state.
For example, if you previously turned off Live Sync for certain binders and then switched to enabling Live Sync by default for all binders at the firm level, those binders with Live Sync turned off will remain turned off. You won’t be able to change the Live Sync status of these binders directly.
To enable Live Sync for these specific binders, follow these steps:
  1. Use the
    Export to Tax
     feature.
  2. Switch the Live Sync setting to
    For selected binders
    .
  3. Enable Live Sync for the binders that need to be updated.
  4. After enabling the binders, you can switch the setting back to
    For all binders
    .
Alternatively, after
Export to Tax
is completed, you can contact SurePrep Support with the list of binders that you would like to enable.
