Set up Review Ready

To use Review Ready, you'll need to set up integration with UltraTax CS 2024 and SurePrep. Before you can begin the setup, make sure you've downloaded the updated licenses for UltraTax CS.
  1. Sign in to SurePrep and go to the
    Admin
     screen.
  2. Select
    API
     from the toolbar.
  3. On the
    User Management
     tab, select
    New user
     to add your API user.
  4. Enter a username and password that is different than your SurePrep credentials.
  5. Enter your email. This needs to be the same email associated with your SurePrep account. You can find this in
    Admin
    Users
    .
  6. Select
    Save
     in the row to add the new API user.
  7. Go to the
    Key Management
     tab.
  8. If a key doesn't already exist, select
    Generate Key
    .
  9. Once a key exists, select
    Copy Key
     and save it somewhere. You'll need this later to enter in UltraTax CS.
  10. Open UltraTax CS 2024.
  11. Go to
    Setup
    , then
    System Configuration
    .
  12. On the
    SurePrep API
     tab, select the
    Enable SurePrep Integration
     checkbox if not already selected.
  13. Select
    Import API Key
    .
  14. Enter your SurePrep API username, password, email, and API key in the fields provided.
  15. Select
    Test Connection
     to verify your credentials.
  16. Once your credentials are verified, select
    Save
    .
    If the connection fails, make sure you copied the correct API key. If you continue to experience issues, please contact support for further assistance.
  17. Now that you've copied the SurePrep API key into UltraTax CS, you now need to create an UltraTax CS API key to copy into SurePrep.
  18. Remaining on the
    SurePrep API
     tab in UltraTax CS
    System Configuration
    , select
    Generate API Key
     if you don't already have one listed.
  19. Select the API key from the list, then
    Copy
    . Save it somewhere to enter in SurePrep later.
  20. Sign back in to SurePrep and go to the
    Admin
     screen.
  21. Select
    Account Setup
     from the toolbar, then
    Tax File Activation Web
    .
  22. On the
    UltraTax CS
     tab, paste the key in
    API Key
    .
  23. Enter your
    UltraTax CS Firm ID
    .
  24. Now go to the
    Tax File Activation
    tab. If prompted to run the downloaded file, run it.
  25. Select
    UltraTax CS
     tab and make sure
    Both
     is selected as the Software version.
  26. Make sure at least one Data location path is entered, which can point to any location.
  27. Close SurePrep and UltraTax CS and re-open.
You should now see a Review Ready
Review Ready
 button in the toolbar. Select it to open and begin using Review Ready.
