HighQ Release Notes for 2023-06

Overview

HighQ June 2023 Collaborate updates will be applied to customer-facing sandbox/UAT instances over the weekend of the 3rd/4th of June, with production deployments taking place from the weekend of the 10th/11th of June onwards.

Use case overview June release
Use cases: CLM, Document Approvals
You can now enable the one-click approval option directly from your Outlook. With this option, the notification you get to approve a document now adds an option to approve or reject directly from the email, without going to the browser approval options. It will save you several steps, more information on the setup can be found here.

HighQ Drive and Office Plugin: When your sites are set up with the document approval functionality those are now also supported to use in combination with the HighQ Drive and Outlook/Office plugins.
Use cases: Transaction Management, Legal Project Management, Case Management
When you are using the Task module, for your closing or DD Reviews, Litigation Project Management or Case Management the Main Task & Subtasks are now connected, which means  the status for a task is changed when the following scenarios occur:
  • Auto Complete the parent task when all sub-tasks are completed
  • Change the status of the parent task back to In Progress when a new sub-task is added
This saves time managing more complex Task & Subtask work and will help to manage the task lists better as you cannot forget to complete the main task when all sub-tasks are completed.

A new panel now exists at the System-level dashboards to show
files
 from the files module on your dashboard. Files can be shown via a folder or smart folder from any selected site. If you would like to know more about setting up system-level dashboards, click here. This is a great way to show self-serve dashboard policy instructions or intake instructions for client dashboards.

Users can now create their own iSheet views without being a site administrator, this gives end users an opportunity to create their own views of the iSheet data.
Use cases: All where search is involved
Users can easily download multiple files selected directly from search results. This is helpful to quickly get documents downloaded, deleted or moved directly from the search in the HighQ files container. Search now provides an option to include the extension in the search query (file types are now indexed) so Purchase agreement.docx will result in a list of Word documents based on your search query.

Search
  • You can quickly download selected files from a global search as a single zip archive
  • You can specify a file extension in the global search field to rapidly filter results for that file type

  • The HighQ Office Online integration can now use add-ins from the Microsoft Marketplace

These updates affect site administrators:

  • Files are submitted to the approval process if they are created and uploaded to a site that uses File approvals
Workflow
  • You can now incorporate the
    Triggering File Link
     variable into additional fields that have rich text enabled. This includes multi-line text columns for Add iSheet record and Update File Metadata, as well as descriptions for Add Event.
Publisher
System Dashboards
  • We have introduced a new Dashboard panel - Files. This panel will allow administrators to easily display specific files to users accessing the site. For more information, click here

Our June 2023 release implements the following performance improvements:
Dashboards
  • Downloading documents, audits and reports is now 2x faster

  • Advanced search for multi-line text column is now 4x quicker
  • Retrieving iSheet attachment column data is now 5x quicker
  • We have improved the user experience by introducing lazy loading for image columns in iSheet grids and the image libraries
  • Searching multi-line text is now up to 8x faster
  • Retrieving item data in CSV files is now 62x faster

Monitoring
  • Improvements have been made to utilise database connections when downloading documents
Reliability
  • Unnecessary email traffic on production email servers has been reduced by moving cache inconsistency notifications to logs instead of sending error emails
Workflow
  • We continue to modernise our Workflow module for users, ensuring future scalability
Notifications
  • Retrieving notifications is now almost instant
Admin
  • We have introduced User Avatar lazy loading, which improves server-side resource utilisation
