Legal Tracker - Linking sites and matters for matter management

You can link Intake iSheets in HighQ to the matter data pulled from Legal Tracker and then work on that joined data in HighQ, so that both HighQ and Legal Tracker are updated with information generated and managed in HighQ.
You can link sites to matters in Legal Tracker; a view is automatically created for each matter in the Matter management iSheet. This view contains the fields from Legal Tracker that are specific
to that matter
.
If a site is linked to one or more matters, then the site provides navigation links so the matter can be opened for quick reference or revisions.
If you have not set up the Legal Tracker Matter intake and Matter management iSheets, please check the Legal Tracker integration is enabled.

     or
    HighQ Forms
     to perform matter intake
  • Make sure Legal Tracker integration is enabled at the system level, and sync is active
  • Configure your Matter intake iSheets
  • Use the Matter ID in a Join column to link the Matter intake and Matter management iSheets so that financial data from Legal Tracker is linked to the initial request in the Matter intake iSheet
  • Associate the HighQ site with the Legal Tracker matter for easier management and navigation

Joining the Matter intake and Matter management iSheets

You can add both the Matter intake iSheet with the Matter management iSheet for improved management.
Select
Add / Edit
 under
Columns
 for the
Matter management
 iSheet.
Add a
Join column
 that links to the Matter intake iSheet.

For example, use
Matter ID
 as the Column name,
Matter intake
 as the Link name, select
Legal Tracker - Matter intake
 in the List of sheet drop-down. Use the
Default
 display view and no Join conditions are required.

Associating matters with a site

For enhanced management and navigation, you can link Legal Tracker matters and HighQ sites.
note
You can link many matters to a single site, or many sites to a single matter.
Open the site
Admin
 module, then select
General
 under
Site settings
.
Scroll down and select
Connect to a matter
:
The
Connect to a matter in Legal Tracker
 window shows all available matters.
note
You may need to log in to Legal Tracker to access the list of matters; you only see matters if you have appropriate permissions in Legal Tracker.
Select the matters to associate with the current site, then select
Save
.
Associated matters are added to the
Matter no
 field.
Select
Save
 to apply your changes.
note
When you save, if this is the first matter, the Legal Tracker view is created with the required columns. When further matters are linked, columns for the new matter are added to the existing Legal Tracker view.

Viewing associated matters in the Matter management iSheet

Open the
iSheets
 module and, if necessary, open the
Legal Tracker - Matter management iSheet
.
Click the name of the view to only see columns from that view:
You can open the matter directly in Legal Tracker from the iSheet module.
Click the
More actions
 icon for the view associated with the matter, then select
Navigate to Matter
.
A browser window opens the matter in Legal Tracker for you to sign in.
If necessary, log in to Legal Tracker to see the Matter information, such as specific invoices.

Site management and matter tags

Sites are listed in the
Manage sites
 window. Click the site name, then select
Manage sites
.
The
Manage sites
 window lists all sites on your instance (where you have sufficient permissions):
You can find site Status, the number of users, the site size, and the last time it was accessed.
Linked Legal Tracker matters are visible as tags under the name of each site. Click a tag to filter for sites linked to that matter.
note
Only sites with the selected tag are shown in the
Manage sites
 list until the filter is removed.
Navigate to Legal Tracker
You can open a matter directly in Legal Tracker from the
Manage sites
 list.
Click the
More actions
 icon for the site associated with the matter, then select the linked matter.

Adding further joins

If your site contains further related documents or files, you can use
Join
 columns to create additional joins to an iSheet with
attachment
 columns and
links to folders
 that contain related files.
note
Use the unique
Matter ID
 to join iSheets.
