Citation Search in Checkpoint

You can use Checkpoint
Edge
 Citation Search templates to find a specific citation like federal code sections, state statutes, case decisions, and revenue rulings.
  1. On the homepage, select a Practice Area.
    Example:
    Federal
    The International practice area includes a separate customized template for retrieving Tax Treaty information. The State and Local practice area features a state template that guides you through its search templates.
    note
    If you select the State Practice Area, you'll also need to select one or more states, tax types, and document types.
  2. Select
    Citation and Other Search Tools
    .
  3. Select
    Find by Citation
    .
  4. Choose the citation type you want to search (such as
    Cases
    ).
  5. Use the examples provided on the template to enter your citation search in the right format.
    On some templates, you can enter keywords in the
    Keywords
     field for a more focused search.
  6. Select
    Search
