Convert client data from Engagement or Trial Balance CS on SaaS or Virtual Office

  1. Download and install the Creative Solutions Accounting Conversion Utility on the local workstation:
    1. Sign in to
      Engagement Manager
      .
    2. Select
      Setup
       , then
      Downloads
      .
    3. Select
      Creative Solutions Accounting
      .
      The
      CSA to Engagement Manager conversion Setup.msi
       file is downloaded to your local machine.
    4. Double-click
      Setup.msi
       to install the Engagement Manager conversion program to
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Thomson Reuters\Engagement Manager
      .
  2. Using File Explorer, go to the local C: drive of the workstation and add a folder named
    WINCSI
    .
  3. Add two new subfolders within WINCSI:
    CSAData
     and
    CSASys
    .
  4. Log in to SaaS and open Microsoft Word or
    Excel
    .
  5. In Word or Excel, select
    File
    , then
    Open
    .
  6. Select
    Browse
     and
    All Files (*.*)
    from the dropdown list.
  7. Expand
    Computer
     to navigate to files in SaaS or on your local computer.
  8. Copy the CSA System Data files:
    1. Go to
      Y:\CSASys
    2. Select the
      csa.sys
       file.
    3. Hold
      Ctrl
       and select the
      wsw.sys
       file.
    4. Press
      Ctrl+C
       to copy the files.
    5. Go to
      C$ V:\WINCSI\CSASys
      .
      note
      This is how SaaS displays the
      C:\WINCSI\CSAData
       folder you created earlier.
    6. Press
      Ctrl+V
       to paste
      csa.sys
       and
      wsw.sys
       files to this folder.
  9. Copy the CSA client list file:
    1. Go to
      Y:\CSAData
      .
    2. Select the
      CltList.wsw
       file.
    3. Press
      Ctrl+C
       to copy the file.
    4. Go to
      C$ V:\WINCSI\CSAData
    5. Press
      Ctrl+V
       to paste the client list file to this folder.
  10. Copy a CSA client folder:
    1. Go to
      Y:\CSAData
      .
    2. Select a single client’s folder.
    3. Press
      Ctrl+C
       to copy the file(s).
    4. Go to
      C$ V:\WINCSI\CSAData
      .
    5. Press
      Ctrl+V
       to paste the client's folder into this location.
  11. Run the Creative Solutions Accounting Conversion Utility.
