If you have ScanFlow enabled you can use it to scan documents into GoFileRoom.
note
GoFileRoom stores documents that you scan as black and white documents
A single document, such as a tax return, can have many pages.
Select the
Add Documents
link in the GoFileRoom toolbar.
In the Add Documents screen, enter index values and generate a barcode cover sheet and bookmark separator sheets (optional) for each document you will scan.
important
If you're submitting tax workpapers for SurePrep processing, you need to choose
SurePrep Source Documents
as the document type when entering index values. We also recommend adding a description to identify the document as a SurePrep document.
Place barcode cover sheets in front of each document you'll scan and include any bookmark separator sheets.
You can place a TaxSort bookmark separator sheet in front of any document (after the barcode cover sheet) that you'd like to designate for the TaxSort identification and bookmark process. You can also submit PDFs for TaxSort processing after they have been stored in GoFileRoom.
Place the documents you want to scan in your scanner's document feeder.
Open Adobe Acrobat and select
GoFileRoom Batch Scan
.
If you use Adobe Acrobat DC or higher, the ScanFlow options are in the Tools pane.
If asked, sign in to GoFileRoom.
Select a scanner driver, then use
Select
to open your scanner application.
If you need to, change any options and settings.
We suggest a scanning resolution of 300 DPI.
Select
Scan
to begin scanning the documents to Adobe Acrobat.
Check the pages in Adobe Acrobat to confirm page count, page orientation, etc. If you make any changes, select
File
then
Save As
to save your edits.
Before you upload the scan to GoFileRoom, you can perform additional tasks such as adding or deleting documents or document pages, moving pages, separating a unrecognized barcode, or rotating pages. For details, go to Make changes to scanned documents before uploading to GoFileRoom.
