Rollover a prior year return for the 1st time
To rollover a prior year tax return that's not been previously rolled:
- Ensure your tax defaults have been rolled over by going toAdmin,Tax Defaults. You'll receive a message if your tax defaults haven't yet been rolled over. If needed, you can select your account and thenRollover.
- Next, go toReturns Processing,Preseason Processing,Preseason In Your Office, andRollover.
- Select your account, year, and tax type, thenContinue.
- Select the returns to rollover andContinue.
- Users with permissions to bypass or overwrite any existing current year returns are prompted at this time, if applicable. SelectSubmit.
- Make note of the batch number, then selectClose.
- Go toBatch Statusto review the status.
