Sending data to be converted

Upload client data through your CS website account using Secure Data Exchange to request and complete firm data conversion.
  1. To submit your firm's client data for conversion, you must upload the data through your CS website account using a Secure Data Exchange (SDE). If you don’t already have a CS website account, start by following these steps to set up your account.
  2. Once your account is set up, request a data conversion from our Product Support Team or through your Onboarding Representative.
  3. To set up the conversion, we’ll need to know the following:
    1. Prior software
    2. GoSystem Tax PAN ID
    3. A rough count of how many returns you will be converting, per entity type
    4. Which CS website account and email will be submitting the data
    Because the initial conversion is current‑year to current‑year, one locator is required for that step, with a second locator needed to roll the results forward into the subsequent year. Take care not to convert duplicate clients or test returns.
  4. Once you have requested the conversion, upload your data to the SDE using the instructions in this article.
Use your website account and SDE portal to send your data to us.
  1. Sign in to your account at Sign in to Tax & Accounting.
  2. Select
    Tax conversion
    under
    Quick Links
    .
  3. Mark the radio button for
    Click Here
    to view the SDE created.
  4. Select the link for the existing conversion with the proper tax year and software you are converting from.
  5. Choose
    Upload My Data
    .
  6. Select
    Choose File
    and select the ZIP file that you created on your desktop and exported your data into.
  7. Select the
    Upload File
    button to upload your data. This may take a considerable amount of time if you are uploading a large amount of data. When the upload is complete, the file name will be displayed.
  8. Select
    Submit and Finalize
    to complete the upload process.
  9. You'll receive a confirmation email once our Conversion Services Team receives your data. You will receive another confirmation once the conversion is completed.
Selecting
Submit & Finalize
sends your data to our conversion team to process. The process will take several days to complete, potentially up to 10 business days from the date submitted.
Once your data is converted, you will receive an email alerting you that it is available. If you don’t receive an email contact support.
