Add a new control

Objectives listed on a Control Activities Form consist of controls. When working on a Control Activities Form, you can add a new control to 1 or more objectives.
Do the following to add a control:
  1. Select  then
    Add Control
    .
  2. Enter the following information in the
    Add Control
     screen:
    1. Control description
    2. Control reference number
    3. Related objectives
    4. Assertions
  3. Go to the Select the Related Principles section and mark the applicable checkboxes.
  4. Choose
    Yes
     or
    No
     for the question
    Do you want to assign Test Procedures after adding Control?
    If you choose
    Yes
    , use the checkboxes on the
    Test Procedures Options
     screen to indicate your choices and select
    Assign
    .
  5. Your new control will be added to the bottom of the list.
Select
Edit
 edit to modify a control. Once a control has been edited, an orange flag shows next to it indicating that changes have been made to the control. If you need to switch back to the original version of the control, select
Reset
 reset

You can only delete a custom control by selecting
Delete
 delete
