Troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop

Find help for opening applications, printing, scanning, and using Azure Virtual Desktop after migration.
Use the sections here to find tips and troubleshooting steps after you migrate to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

Open applications

  • If your applications don’t open, refer to Azure Virtual Desktop apps don't launch.
  • If the sign-in window appears more than once, update your Windows App.
    1. Open Windows App on your device.
    2. If there is an update notification, go ahead and update your version. Otherwise, your application is up to date.
  • Alternative access:
    • For Mac users: if you want to access

      on a Mac computer, use
      Windows App

    • If you want to use
      Virtual Client Office
      applications without the need to open
      NetClient CS
      , use
      Windows App
      .
  • How to find Microsoft OneNote notebooks in
    Virtual Client Office
    1. Sign in to
      NetClient CS
      .
    2. Open Microsoft OneNote.
    3. Select
      File
      then
      Info
      .
    4. Search and select the location you need to access.
    5. Open the notebook.

Print and scan

  • If printing is slow, make sure you set your Default Printer and Default Scanner (if needed).
    • AVD uses TSScan and TSPrint by TerminalWorks to help with print and scan performance.
  • If you are unable to scan, the TerminalWorks TSScan installation may have encountered a problem in your computer. Re-download TSScan from this link: TSScan_client.exe

Specific application tips

  • Accounting CS
  • FileCabinet CS Print Driver
    If you can't print to FileCabinet CS Virtual Office, make sure you only have 1 print driver installed for that application:
    1. Uninstall all previous FileCabinet CS Virtual Office Print Driver clients.
    2. Sign in to
      NetClient CS
      .
    3. Select
      Applications
      .
    4. Open
      Setup
      and select
      FileCabinet CS Print Driver
      to download the installation file.
    5. Find the file and run it.
    6. Follow the prompts in the installation wizard.
