Convert charts of accounts
Export the data
- In General Ledger Manager Classic, go toSetup, thenChart of Accounts.
- Select the option toExportthe data. The export process generates an.xlsxfile containing 2 columns:
- AccountCode
- Description
- Open the exported.xlsxfile in a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Review the data to ensure it has been exported correctly.
- Save the file in CSV format, then selectSave.
Import the data
- Go toAdministration,Company Info, thenAccounts.
- Open theSummary Chart of Accountstab.
- SelectAdd Chart.
- Select the Chart of Account you want to import, then selectImport.
- Use the wizard to upload your CSV file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the upload.
- When prompted to map fields, assign:
- MapNumberfrom your CSV file to theAccount Codein the system.
- Map theDescriptionfrom your CSV file to theAccount Namein the system.
- SetStart Rowto 2 to skip the header row during the import process.
- Follow the remaining steps in the wizard to complete the import process.
- Review the imported data to ensure accuracy.
