Convert summary charts of accounts

Export summary charts of accounts from GLM Classic as a CSV file, then import and map the data to your system.

Export the data

  1. In General Ledger Manager Classic, go to
    Setup
    , then
    Summary Charts of Accounts
    .
  2. Select the option to
    Export
     the data. The export process will generate a
    .csv
     file containing 4 columns:
    • Number
    • Description
    • TRC
    • TCC

Import the data

  1. Go to
    Administration
    ,
    Company Info
    , then
    Accounts
    .
  2. Open the summary Chart of Accounts tab.
  3. Select
    Add Chart
    .
  4. Select the Chart of Accounts you want to import and select
    Import
    .
  5. Use the wizard to upload your CSV file, then follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the upload.
  6. When prompted to map fields, assign:
    • Map the
      Number
       field from your CSV file to the
      Account Code
       in the system.
    • Map the
      Description
       from your CSV file to the
      Account Name
       in the system.
  7. Set
    Start from Row = 2
     to 2 to skip the header row during the import process.
  8. Follow the remaining steps in the wizard to complete the import process.
  9. Review the imported data to ensure accuracy.
