ECN/Dual Use List Query Screen
The
ECN/Dual Use List Query
screen narrows down a user query in regard to any ECN Number and any Export Control List by specifying which data is important to the user (e.g. ECN Number, related HS Numbers, destination country, header information, control reason, license, available license exceptions, etc.).The results are provided in a table, which can be updated by editing the search categories.
This screen can be opened by choosing
ECN/Dual Use List Query
from the Content
menu.
QUERY SETUP
Select Regulation List
In the
Regulation List
drop-down, enter a 2-character ISO Country Code, a country name, or a Regulation List keyword. Choose a listed option.
Select ECN/HS Number
After choosing a regulation list from the
Regulation List
drop-down, you can indicate whether to filter a search by an ECN Number and/or related HS Number. If filtering by an ECN Number, you can also search by keyword if the number is unknown.Once an ECN Number and/or HS Number are selected, select the fields to view in the query. Fields are divided into
Header
, Description
, Control Reason
, and License/Exceptions
.The Header information categories available are the same across all lists: Category Name, Effective Date, Expiration Date, and HS Number. Every regulation list has different Control Reasons and License/Exceptions the user may choose to view.
Once the desired search fields are selected, click
Search
.
Select an
HS Number
link to open a pop-up with more detailed information about the selected HS Number.
To start a new search, click
New Search
in the top-right corner of the screen.
