Using Reason Codes as Key Performance Indicators
Reason Codes can be configured to capture key information related to the actual Validation Type error. These user-defined codes include descriptions regarding what the code represents.
A few examples of reason codes for government data errors are

Reason Codes are an excellent way to capture the nature, responsible party, and root cause of an error in a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) report.
Notes pertaining to the Reason Codes can also be entered as references to the errors and to any other actions taken to resolve the issues. Reason Code notes are included in the audit trail and can be viewed by selecting the
Notes/View Notes
