Provide Supporting Documents (PRD)

DMS 1.40 strengthens digital customs clearance in the Netherlands by allowing businesses to respond to Customs document requests electronically within the DMS workflow, reducing delays, manual effort, and compliance risk.
The “Provide Supporting Documents” feature allows you to upload and transmit documents directly from the DMS 4 Export Declaration screen, using the PRD message.
To provide supporting documents
:
  1. After finding a declaration, click
    Provide Supporting Documents
     at the top right of the screen. This will create a new PRD message.
  2. In the PRD message, select the
    Requested Documents
     tab.
  3. To add a document entry, click
    New
    . A pop-up called “Requested Document” will appear.
  4. Complete the required fields: “Sequence Number”, “Document Reference”, and “Document Type”. “Description” and “CC Qualifier” are optional fields.
  5. Select
    Save
    . The pop-up will close.
  6. To upload the document file itself, expand the row and click on the
    Attachments
     tab.
  7. In the
    Attachments
     tab, click
    New
    . A pop-up called “Attachments” will appear.
  8. In the “Upload Document” field, click on
    Select File
    .
  9. Once the document has been added and uploaded, select
    Save
    . The pop-up will close.
  10. To send the supporting documents, click
    Transmit
    on the Export Declaration screen.
