FTA: Content Maintenance Procedures - General vs. Product Specific Rules
There are certain agreements, typically in the APAC region where there are general rules that apply where no Product Specific Rule (PSR) has been defined and even a handful of cases where they are an additional option to the Product Specific Rule.
During BOM Analysis, our Rules Engine will attempt to apply rules in a hierarchical order by Rule Name matching on the HS number in the BOM against the HS number in the Rule. For cases where the General Rule applies because a PSR does not exist, we load these rules named XX_Section 999 (where XX represents the chapter) so that they will apply if no PSR for the HS FG number on the BOM has been found.
For the other case, where the General Rule can apply in addition to the PSR, we cannot currently support this design in our standard product. If you have purchased one of the agreements below and need this option, reach out to us to coordinate a customized workaround for this functionality:
