FTA: Content Maintenance Procedures - Wholly Originating/Produced Entirely

While we do have the ability to fully cover Wholly Originating goods, we have recently introduced the functionality for Produced Entirely products. We have designated these rules with a suffix of ‘PE’ and will apply them to all rules with a wholly originating or produced entirely reference in the rule text. We consider this a safe practice as we do not currently have clients in the agriculture industry and/or because the benefits of our FTA product align more closely to those of the manufacturing industry. Further, if the Result Mapping logic is implemented, the system can automatically assign the preference criteria of PE when a BOM has qualified using a produced entirely rule.

When we do offer capabilities to support Wholly Originating in the future, it will likely be a flag or checkbox where a user may be able to configure logic to set the value automatically or they will have to set it manually since it is not something that can be inherently derived or calculated from a BOM.
