The
Client-Driven Data Validations
tab displays validations created based on a client’s unique business logic. These validations take place as data is imported into Global Trade Visibility.The tab contains the following columns to help clients navigate the updates:
Client-Driven Data Updates - Columns | Description |

Conditions | The criteria that must be met to trigger a data validation. |
Validation Group | Used for reporting the types of validations seen. Validation groups are created during implementation. |
Validation Name | A short description of the validation. Validation names are used to report on the types of validations seen. |
Validation Message | A more detailed description of the validation. Validation messages display in the detailed validation reports to assist with research validations. |
Type | Validations can be Soft or Hard validations. Soft: System “warning”. Still allows a record into GTV to be used in reports. Hard: System “error”. Holds & will not allow the record into GTV. |
Active | Indicates whether or not an update is actively running. A checked box indicates the update is active. An unchecked box indicates the update is inactive. |
