AES Transmission (Transmitting Individual Shipments)
The
AES Transmission
screen is the gateway to filing Electronic Export Information (EEI). The transmission recipient is dependent on the exporting country, but the following section assumes a U.S. exporter filing into AES (Automated Export System) via the ACE system. The AES Transmission
screen allows you to:- Ensure all relevant shipments are grouped together. Additional grouping relationships can be created as necessary.
- Review all information prior to sending to the government authority.
- Review the status of shipments already sent to the government authority and update shipments accordingly.
- View any error codes from Customs/Census and the error messages in relation to the codes, if EEIs are rejected.
- Resend transmissions after cleanup.
- Generate SLI Reports to summarize what was filed with Census.
- Cancel shipments.
- Easily review the transmission history to AES.
During implementation, security groups are created to explicitly have access to the AES Transmission Page. If you do not belong to the security group with access to the page, you will see the following message when attempting to open the
AES Transmission
page:
If your security group has been explicitly configured for this screen, then you will see the page as outlined below.
The
AES Transmission
screen is accessed by choosing Export
from the main menu, followed by AES Transmission
. It can also be reached via a hyperlink in the Export Invoice Management
screen.
