Edit Party
Clicking
“Edit” to the left of the “Party Name” field will open the “Edit Party” screen. This screen displays all information associated with the selected party.
Each time data is saved, ONESOURCE ISF performs a validation check to ensure that duplicate data does not exist for the selected partner. Duplicate validation is performed by finding a match on both the party name and internal name.
If a duplicate is found, the address information of the existing party will display above the “Edit Party” tabs. The user will then be asked if this is a duplicate. If so, they will have to determine whether to exit without saving the data or modify either name field to create a new, unique party record.

In order to quickly identify specific information about the selected party, the “Edit Party” screen is organized into multiple tabs. These tabs are described in more detail in the below sections.
General
The “
General
” tab contains general information about the party, the specific fields of which are listed in the table below.
- If the field has an asterisk (*) beside it, then it is a mandatory field and must be completed. If this field is left empty, the Security Filing will not be accepted by CBP.
- Bolded fields with no asterisks are not required for the Security Filing to be accepted but will be submitted to CBP if completed.
- Non-bolded fields with no asterisks are not required for the Security Filing to be accepted and will not be submitted to CBP.
Fields | Description |

Party Name* | The text name of the entity as it will be reported to CBP. |

It is especially useful if an organization has multiple facilities/partners with the same CBP-reported name but different details (contact, address, party role, etc.). In order to use this field instead of default CBP-reported Party name field or Party identification, the user must update the “Party name field” option within the “Defaults” screen. |

important
No more than six (6) total address components may be used and each address component can only be used a maximum of one (1) time in order to form a valid address. The exception to this rule is “Unstructured Street Address”, which can be used up to the maximum number of address components to form a valid address.
