ISF Reference Number
To give the user visibility into which Security Filing is currently being edited, the ISF Reference Number displays on all tabs of the “Edit Security Filing” screen. The Reference Number is a unique identifier assigned to the Security Filing by the system. It is a combination of the following elements:
- ABI Filer Code
- Port Code
- Office Code
- 10-digit Incremental IdentifierOnce the filing is submitted to CBP and CBP responds to confirm that the Security Filing has been accepted, CBP will assign a “Filing Num” to the Security Filing. The field will then be populated. The CBP Filing Number is formatted as such: FFF- CCYYNNNNNNN. It is designated as follows:FieldsDescriptionFFF3-Digit Filer CodeCCYYCalendar Year (e.g. 2019)NNNNNNN7-Digit Numeric Sequence Number
