Transactions

There are two types of transactional data that can be imported into ONESOURCE ISF through the use of data import:
Transactional data types
Description
Reference Transactions
Transactions imported into the system containing information to be used at a later time to apply data to actual transmitted Security Filings. This information may include:
  • Product HS Information
  • Manufacturer/Supplier Information
  • Seller Information
  • Other information as applicable
Depending on how the system is configured, this information may come from a Purchase Order (850), Invoice (810), or Purchase Order Cancellation (860).
This is usually determined during initial setup for data import.
Trigger Transactions
Transactions imported into the system for the purpose of transmitting information to CBP in the form of an Importer Security Filing.
Each individual system will be configured to determine what type of information will be treated as a trigger transaction when imported into the system.
Trigger transactions are also used to determine whether information will be automatically transmitted when imported.
Upon data import, information can be applied using preset templates within the system to further automate the data import process. Notification e-mails can be configured to be sent upon the import of data for the purpose of verification and will provide the reference number to easily find the imported transaction.
Imported data can include unique identifiers to indicate when new data is imported and for easier searching from the ONESOURCE ISF Dashboard as per the Generic ONESOURCE ISF XML schema. This also allows for the implementation of overwriting old data when updated information is provided.
