Transmit
Once all required data has been provided in the Security Filing record and all validation errors are resolved,
click
“Transmit” to transmit the data to CBP.
The first time the Security Filing record is transmitted to CBP, it is transmitted with a filing action of ADD (A).
Transmitting a Security Filing to CBP does not ensure an acceptance from CBP. There are a number of reasons why CBP may reject a Security Filing and not allow it into their system, including many of the fields ONESOURCE ISF checks during the validation process.
It is important to note that it is the acceptance date and time of the Security Filing (not the initial transmission date and time) that establishes the timeliness of a Security Filing for CBP.
Once the Security Filing has been transmitted to CBP, CBP will respond with whether the Security Filing was Accepted, Accepted With Warnings, or Rejected.
If the Security Filing has been Accepted, CBP will return with the reply a unique Filing Number for referencing the Security Filing in the future. After initial acceptance, each additional transmission will be sent with a REPLACE (R) filing action.
If the Security Filing is rejected or updates to the data are needed, users may edit the data in ONESOURCE ISF and re-transmit the Security Filing to CBP.
The Security Filing may be transmitted from any of the Security Filing Record tabs and will save all recent changes before the record is transmitted to CBP.
