Prepare a source file to import new entities
You can prepare a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to use to import new entities and create new binders.
Use this format for the source file.

If any of the required elements are missing or any data element is invalid, the entity won't import.

Fiscal Year Beginning Date | no | Entered only if using a year other than a calendar year; can be in either format: mm/dd or mm/dd/yyyy |
Date of Incorp/Date Business Started | no | Entity date of incorporations, mm/dd/yyyy |
Incorporation State | no | Valid 2 letter abbreviation |
Incorporation Filing Type | no | Foreign Tax Credit or Foreign Entity, if an international return; valid only with a return type of 1120C |
International Div Con Data Entry Level | yes | Used to specify whether sourcing will be completed at the branch (division binder) or the div con level; import an X to mark the option; required for Divisional Consolidation binders with an international filing type of Foreign Entity or Foreign Tax Credit |
Income Tax Binder Name | no | Binder name of the new binder to be created; defaults to New Binder if the year is entered and this field is left blank |
Income Tax Binder Year | yes | Tax year of the binder to be created; this should be the prior year to allow for entry of beginning balance sheet and state property factors; yyyy format
