Dataset entity access

No access

Users with no access to an entity cannot view the entities in the dataset creation process and cannot create returns for these entities.
If you do not have access to an entity, you cannot do the following:
  • Edit a dataset
  • Copy a dataset
  • Roll forward a dataset
  • Delete a dataset
  • Save a copy of that entity from the return of a no access entity
  • Import data to that entity

Read only

Users with READ ONLY access to an entity cannot view the entities in the dataset creation process and cannot create returns for these entities.
If you have READ ONLY access to an entity, you cannot do the following:
  • Edit a dataset
  • Copy a dataset
  • Roll forward a dataset
  • Delete a dataset
  • Save a copy of that entity from the return of a no access entity
  • Import data to that entity
  • Edit/defer/add transactions of an import that relate to that entity
  • Delete imports related to that entity

Write

If you have write access on an entity, you can perform all the actions available in datasets with no restrictions.
