SAP Enhanced Global (Global Next) Integration Retry Mechanism

I am currently using SAP Enhanced Global (Global Next) Integration Release 6.4.4.x, 6.4.5.x, 6.5.x.x, or 6.6.x.x and sometimes I am seeing tax calculation errors due to connectivity issues. What could I do to avoid or minimize the occurrence of these errors?
Network connections, specially through Internet, may face some intermittent failure for few seconds or milliseconds and customers using Global Next may see error messages returned by the SAP connectivity framework once the destination (ONESOURCE Indirect Tax) is unreachable to calculate taxes.
To minimize the issue Thomson Reuters decided to implement a retry mechanism on the SAP Global Next integration allowing the customers to configure the number of attempts to retry establishing the connection with ONESOURCE in case of connection errors.
This enhancement is being delivered in a separated package that can be installed, configured, and used by any customer using SAP Enhanced Global (Global Next) Integration Releases 6.4.4.x, 6.4.5.x, 6.5.x.x, or 6.6.x.x.
Attached to this article you can find a PDF document about the installation and configuration process and a ZIP file containing the package to be installed inside the SAP ECC or S4/HANA.
